Transcription of recording.

Fr. Ted Ring, Edward Ring usually known as Ted Ring – Ted Ring.

He was moved from being Rector of Hawkstone to become Rector of Bishop Eton in 1945 and later in the year towards the end of the year he went to Birmingham to make a retreat. Fr. Hughes was the Rector there and when he got there he said he wasn’t feeling very well. So they talked a bit and Fr. Hughes took him and said you might was well go to bed early. So when he was undressed and in bed, Fr. Hughes went in and said would you like something I could bring you up a cup, oh he said I’d love to have a cup of tea a warm cup of tea that’s all I want, nothing to eat, I don’t feel well.  So he said well you just wait there and I’ll get it, and Ted Ring said to Wilf Ok I’ll wait here and pray for a happy death, and Fr. Wilf Hughes came back 10 minutes later with a cup of tea, Ted Ring was dead in bed – God rest him.
