Peace!
We Redemptorists, have just recently celebrated three first professions of three of our young confreres.
Before us, their families and friends, they made their vows of Poverty, Chastity and Obedience.
This tells me that vocations to the religious life and the priesthood are there and
still exist in a powerful and real way.
If you have feelings in this area, feelings that God is calling you to something more in life,
get in touch and
I'll happily walk the vocations journey with you.
Do not be afraid to explore the whole wonderful world of 'Vocation'!
Perhaps it might be of some help if I were to share something of myself with you.
My name is Fr Richard Reid and I have been with the Redemptorists for some time now,
and I am 40 years old.
In that time I've been in communities in
Plymouth, Canterbury, London, Perth, Edinburgh, Belgium and Zimbabwe!
Now I am in Liverpool, getting used to this wonderful city and the great people.
Every day of my Redemptorist life has been unique!
The Lord has blessed me in my vocation and I am deeply grateful to Him.
Perhaps he is calling quietly to you....
Why not get in touch and we'll see where the Lord wants you to go.
Know that you have my prayers as you try and discover what the Lord is asking of you.
In the Redeemer,
Fr. Richard Reid C.Ss.R.

"If you have not come here to become a saint, then go home!"

In the Church, we are all obliged to pray for vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life,
we invite you to pray this prayer daily in union with our communities.
Vocations prayer :
Father, we thank you for the blessings you have given us
in Christ our Redeemer.
Let your Spirit overshadow your people,
making your gentle invitation heard in many hearts.
Lord of the Harvest, bless the Redemptorist family
throughout the world
with many vocations,
so that those in greatest need
will experience the Good News of Redemption.
May your love grow among us
and your kingdom come,
through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
