Redemptorists the world over, are proud to possess the original icon of Our Mother of Perpetual Succour (Help), which is enshrined in their church of Sant'Alfonso in Rome.

We, the Redemptorists of the London Province are proud to have had entrusted to us, the first copy of the icon ever to leave Rome, in our community, Bishop Eton Monastery, Liverpool.

Normally the icon is not on public display because it hangs in the community chapel, where the confreres gather as a community at least twice a day to pray. On both occasions they remain there for half an hour, as is common in all our communities.

In Bishop Eton monastery there are in the community 11 confreres, aged from 31 to 85 years of age! The Fathers and Brothers there, have promised to hold in prayer before the precious icon of Our Lady all the intentions that come through this web site.
