Thank you Patrick, Hello Natasha and Anita

When Paul Murphy left his position as RYM coordinator in March 2017 he left a hole which took several months to fill, and RYM hit a hiatus   In Liverpool the group continued to meet with meetings facilitated by Patrick Hart, who organised several talks with guest speakers

In Autumn 2017 our new coordinators were appointed. Natasha Pritchard and Anita Carson. In the short term they will focus their efforts in Liverpool, both are enthusiastic about their new roles.

Here we introduce Anita and Natasha in their own words

Natasha Pritchard

NatashaNatasha  lives in Childwall with her husband of five years, Ben and cat Jimmy! She studied Theology at Manchester University and then her PGCE in Secondary RE at Liverpool Hope, and after a (very!) brief time in teaching, decided that chaplaincy was where she was meant to be. She works part time as a lay hospital chaplain, where she's been for nearly five years, and is really excited about beginning her new role as Redemptorist Youth Coordinator alongside Anita. Her hobbies include ice skating, reading, quizzes, gardening and generally being a bit excitable about everything! She loves praying with other young people and helping others to grow in their faith.

Anita Carson

Anita

Anita has lived in Woolton & St Mary's parish for 18 years since she & Jim married in July 1999. She has 3 children Orlaith 16, Piarais 15 & Bronagh 12. Anita taught Geography in Archbishop Blanch School for 26 years, Her vocation in teaching meant she has had the privilege of teaching 1000's of Liverpool teenagers for almost 3 decades! Anita is extremely excited as she now has the opportunity to shape the future for the RYM simply because she is only too aware of the tremendous potential young people have to shape the Catholic Faith & to put their faith into action. Most of her hobbies revolve around her children as a taxi service! But when she has the time Anita enjoys going to the gym, reading, experimenting (loosely!) in the kitchen and enjoying going out for meals.

Natasha and Anita have hit the ground running and some of you may have met them at the recent Embrace Event. Initiatives so far have been to enrol some teenagers in the Faith in Action Scheme. Then there has been a sign language afternoon, homeless mission, raising money for the charity toilet twinning and several talks and social outings.
