CSsR Province Meeting 2026...

During the week of Monday the 5th til Friday the 9th of January 2026 confreres travelled from each of our communities in the UK to gather in Perth Scotland at our Monastery on Kinnoull hill to meet, talk, pray and recreate together as confreres.

The Ordinary Provincial Council facilitated the three full days we had together, while the Apostolic Life Secretariat (ALS) looked after the Liturgical ceremonies and ensured that everyone had whatever necessary to make sure the meeting was a success.

The ALS is Fr Casper S Mukabva CSsR, Br David Nyamuronda CSsR and Fr Peter Morris CSsR - to them the Province sends much gratitude!

 

Tuesday and Wednesday began with Morning Prayer, and moved through the day as follows, Session I, Session II, Mass, Lunch, Sessions III, Evening Prayer, Supper, Recreation. Thursday the timetable was arranged somewhat differently as we celebrated Mass in the Evening and enjoyed a Celebratory Dinner in honour of our Jubiliarians.

We felt very blessed as we had Fr Kenneth Macharaga CSsR, the Regional Superior of Zimbabwe with us during the meeting. We had invited two of our other younger confreres to the meeting but they very sadly had their Visa applications refused!

Fr Kenneth gave a wonderful report and brought us up to date with the latest news from our Mission in Zimbabwe, and the future plans for them to become a Province in Southern Africa.

We were also fortunate to have Tina Campbell, our Province Safeguarding Consultant with us as both herself and Br David CSsR led us in Safeguarding training on the Thursday.
