"The first Zimbabwean Redemptorist brother, a flagship of total surrender to God, who saw the congregation as his only home and its mission as his only mission, who knew the insufficiency of living in the congregation and for its mission but to die in the congregation faithful to His Word.

Having lived radically his vowed life he has embraced the consequence of this radical life being now embraced by the God for whom he gave up everything. The journey ended with a call to take and drink the cup of the master’s passion which James and John had said would drink.

He held it with both hands and drank it. He was no longer wanting anything to ease his pain but to fully embrace his cross and to drink the bitter cup . Like a lamb to the slaughter he died in silence.

We celebrated mass with him yesterday and what he could only receive was the cup. Soon after he received the oils. The end of his race and the good fight.

May he now receive the crown of glory awaiting him."
