The International Meeting of Redemptorist Brothers continues – Rome, 2026

The day after the international meeting of the Redemptorist Brothers, the participants went on a pilgrimage to the Shrine of St Gerard in Materdomini. After a four-hour coach journey, the Brothers arrived at the sanctuary’s forecourt — that place which the Father General would later describe, in his homily, as a holy place, marked by the life and holiness of St Gerard: here he lived, worked, suffered and offered his life to God.

The visit to the museum and the Saint’s cell

With interest, but also with evident emotion, the brothers viewed the relics of St Gerard on display in the museum. Among these, the Saint’s room holds a special place, where he spent the final months of his life. Preserved there are the objects that belonged to the holy brother: the bed, a simple table, a large cross on the wall. And above the door, an inscription that sums up his entire spirituality: “Here God’s will is being done, as God wills and for as long as God pleases.”

The brothers also visited the “Hall of the Ribbons” and the exhibition of nativity scenes, significant stops on this rich spiritual journey.

This is the line on one of our recent Vocations adverts, see below; it is true, however the question that is directed to you is vitally important.

The Church needs men and women who are willing to serve the Lord in a consecrated way, as a Father, Sister, Brother, Nun or Monk.

The question about Vocation is an enormous area, one that needs our attention, our prayer and our consideration.

If you have a question about your own vocation, come and speak to one of us in the monastery and we will make sure you are put on the right path.

If you think God could be calling you to serve as a Redemptorist Priest, Brother, Nun or Sister, Lay Associate come and we must talk more!

Blessing of our dear confrere Novices' Graves...

"With faith and gratitude, the Redemptorists invite for the unveiling of tombstones of our beloved brothers who dedicated their lives to serving God and His people."

The ceremony of blessing took place on the 11th April 2026.

Our Novices went to the Father's House on Christmas Day 2021 after a car accident.

Requiescant in pace.

 The Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Fr Regional Superior and his Vicar, alongside many other Priests, Religious Sisters and Brother, and many of the Lay Faithful.
